Smallest Plaza in the Philippines

by - Thursday, December 14, 2017

Did you know that the smallest plaza in the Philippines is located in Guimaras? This secluded island is a home of different and wonderful sites and one can not missed this plaza wherever you are heading as this road serves as an entry point to different parts of Guimaras.

Jordan, is a 3rd municipality and capital of Guimaras and also the capital center of the island. The name Jordan was a replacement of the town first name "Nagaba", it was the resident's of the town who chose the name, the Spanish name for Jordan River, in honor of their patron saint, John the Baptist, who they believe, according to local folklore, saved inhabitants from slaughter during the Moro raid in the Spanish era.

This smallest plaza was once earned a title in Guinness Book of World Records as one of the smallest plaza in the world but another country has already surpassed this record but remains to be as of today the smallest in the Philippines.
